Alternative-Eden is a project dedicated to creating exciting and unconventional bi-weekly playlists, celebrating five decades of underground, alternative and pioneering musical talent, for people who still want to be surprised and delighted by music

Most music shows will play it safe, recycling a limited selection of songs that have been focus-group tested, appealing to a specific demographic, centering on a particular genre, or period of time, in the belief that’s all their listeners want, hoping that will lock in a regular-listening audience

Alternative-Eden rejects that premise

Music did not stop being amazing at the end of the Eighties, or the Nineties, or when MTV changed, rather it continues to evolve, reacting to and feeding back into the society around it

Alternative-Eden is committed to rediscovering lost pieces of our musical heritage, to seek out contemporary talent that shares the same alternative spirit and energy, to fill up our hearts and souls with glorious, twisted and surprising perspectives, and expand our vision of the world around us
